Using File Collections

"I know the file is out there somewhere ..."
now if I could only remember where ..."

How many times have you made this statement ?

Welcome to File Collections

"File Collections" (Windows 3.x only) makes it easy to access those many
files that are scattered all over your system.

Tabs are used to specify your various Collections of files.

Within each File Collection you browse for the desired file and catalog it
with your own description. The file processor that Windows has associated
with the file is stored for later use.

Browsing allows you to navigate your file system looking for your file and
then when you find it, you simply double click on it and "File Collections"
determines what Windows program is to be used for processing its contents.
After you have selected the file, you enter a description (freeform text)
to help you remember what the file is used for and "File Collections"
stores the information for later file access.

You can quickly create your Collection titles, browse for your favorite
files and catalog them for easy access at a later time.

No longer do you have to hunt all over your system for your files ... select
your desired File Collection and then double click the desired file
description and "File Collections" (working with Windows) will provide you
access to the file ready for you to use its contents. Remember that
"File Collections" was told by Windows which program was required to
process the file's contents and then when you wish to access the file,
"File Collections" starts that program for you and passes it the location
and name of your file.

"File Collections" provides menus for full access to its functions ...
